Welcome to shoot # 35
– a digital photo gift from Oberg Photographics – a moment of meditation with which I wish you a good weekend and “weekbegin.”

The beauty – and peace – in everyday things
To me the photo above is an example of that beauty. The shapes, the light, the moment. We can find it almost everywhere – if we are mindful and take the time.
Yes, I know that beauty is very subjective and – like peace – difficult to define. But we have enough of ugly stuff and violence around us, don’t we?
Here is curtain in an old house. I saw that window light and textile as a gift to me. And thus took it with in my iPhone.

The Venice Biennale
Last I told you about the Venice Biennale, perhaps the world’s most important art event. Here are now two blog posts with links and photos – one on my generalised impressions and one about Iran’s amazing, innovative pavilion. For those many of my readers who couldn’t go there themselves.

You can be an artistic gift-giver this year
Do something different and make someone happy by the lasting – and creative – gift that an art photo in a limited edition, signed and numbered is!
I do the entire shoot-to-print process myself and the works are only sold by me. That’s your guarantee of both quality and cheapest price. Be inspired at my homepage (also with new editions), write or call me and I shall be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Close to southern Sweden? Come around
“Pictures At An Exhibition” is on show at my studio together with the “Rouen Cathedral Suite # 1-10” inspired by Roy Lichtenstein’s 1969-series based on Claude Monet’s impressionist paintings is also on show. More on the idea and how it was executed on my art blog.
My studio is open always – just we need to make an appointment (see below).

The “flipping” Global Art Magazine
Wouldn’t it be great to have one (free) place at your fingertips – full of exciting articles, photos, videos and books? That’s what the online “flipping” GlobalArt Magazine that I curate is all about. Try it, browse and follow!

My best
Jan Oberg
