Hi friend
Welcome to shoot # 34
– a digital photo gift from Oberg Photographics – a moment of meditation with which I wish you a good weekend and “weekbegin.”
Sean Scully, The Biennale, Venice and Iran
The photo above is “Sean Scully at Palazzo Falier” in Venice. It’s taken within the 15 min in the afternoon when the sun sets between the buildings along Canal Grande in such a way that it illuminates – magically – Sean Scully’s powerful oil painting. The shapes of the door and the radiator correspond with the rectangular fields in his work.
You may read a little overview of this year’s Biennale on my photo and other art blog. Iran’s pavilion, far away near the Jewish ghetto, stood out for its theme, quality, diversity, its inclusive regionalised idea and for the old factory environment. More about it later. And did you know that Iran holds an incredible collection of contemporary Western art – well preserved although being controversial?
Looking for gifts this time of the year?
Is there a more lasting gift than a unique photo in a limited edition, signed and numbered and with print documentation? I do the entire shoot-to-print process myself and the works are only sold by me. That’s your guarantee of both quality and cheapest price. Be inspired at my homepage (also with new editions), write or call me and I shall be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Close to southern Sweden? Come around
“Pictures At An Exhibition” is on show at my studio together with the “Rouen Cathedral Suite # 1-10” inspired by Roy Lichtenstein’s 1969-series based on Claude Monet’s impressionist paintings is also on show. More on the idea and how it was executed on my art blog.
