βChina and The West In The Makingβ
September 21 – December 30, 2024
This exhibition is rather diverse. While it does contain works from China – Xinjiang in particular – I also showed some new and old portraits, four experiments with old and new Polaroid shots, some early prints in new editions as well as a couple of paintings. You know, my philosophy is that ‘no style is also a style.’
These are basically new works that I have created during the first months of 2024.
It was opened on Cultural Night in Lund on September 21, 2024, and it was such a lovely event – with 60-70 visitors, many of which were Chinese students here in Lund.
I changed some works in between but the nucleus of the exhibition was the same on my Art Evening – i.e. from 14:00-21:00 – on December 7, 2024. Not so many came, but during all the seven hours, there were people, and an ever-flowing conversation took place. Admittedly, it is difficult to do your own “open gallery” event in the Xmas month.
The exhibition will most likely be in place well into 2025. You are always welcome to make an appointment at jan@obergphotographics.com or +46 738 525200.
Here is a gallery for each room. Remember to click on each to see it enlarged:

Room # 3 – Studio:

Room # 4 – Studio & Office:

Visitors tell me it’s more like a home than a gallery, and that makes me very happy. If you tell someone about my works, it’s a great help because I want to remain free, non-commercial and outside the gallery world.
Thanks for visiting. Hope you liked what you saw! Come back here soon.
There is always something new for you!
